The title of this post suggested an America Soap Opera: “Days of Our Lives” - for it’s debut in the year 1965. From my knowledge I think the show is still on going. The word “Sunrise” at the end of the title, correspond to the one in New Human Revolution Volume 1’s first chapter. The post will explain why.
Just like the opening title of the Soap Opera suggested:
“Like sands through the hourglass, so are the days of our lives.”
” Nothing more precious than peace. Nothing brings more happiness. ” – New Human Revolution Volume 1
This is the 1st sentence in the 1st chapter from NHR vol 1. But the week that I’ve been thru, it’s quite a relax yet mentally torture one.
On the 22nd june monday morning, woke up at 0545, get myself prepare and off to pasir ris with my parent. Many were there before the instructed time to take the chartered bus. As I took the chartered bus to the Terminal, sunlight beamed thru the window of the bus as if to announce the embarkment of my new phase of life.
I chanted daimoku in heart that everything goes well, at the same time remembering how Ikeda Sensei embarked his 1st oversea journey for worldwide kosen-rufu to the first destination Honolulu, Hawaii.
Toda Sensei said to Ikeda Sensei: ” Shin’ ichi, the world is your challenge; it is your true stage. It is a vast world. ”
I took this journey as to reaffirm my faith and test my Stand-Alone Spirit. Though I seeked helped from my SYD’Crew and the rest to help chant for me, but it wasnt easy to be the only one in the whole place who chant Nam-Myoho-Renge-Kyo.Yes, it’s definitely a challenge for the week, but I can say I’ve WON the “battle” thru Faith.
Im glad that I have know some new friends during this few days of stay. It was definitely a “uneventful” eventful journey for the past days for all. When the challenge occures, I can do nothing but only chant there, for everyone’s good health and high life condition. Almost lose my hope too, but I’m happy to say that I didn’t cos I know I have Faith. There’s other who pray too but as of different faith. My friend saw me chant and was reading NHR, so when we are chatting, I told them I’m from Soka and shared a little bit. But I think at least seeds was planted in them. =D
I may not have really shakubuku anyone, by planting seed only and one day it will grow and blossom along with the faith. =D Anyway, buddhism is about practicing for oneself and the others’ happiness. Will continue to pray for everyone’s good health and happiness.
I can now definitely say: “No prayers goes unanswered.”
It’s just the way how prayer is being answered. =D
Damn, I missed someone bad badly during the stay. Well, no point of missing too. Should just knock my head and go coma. Hahahaha. Gone.
PS: Pls take good care everyone. Stay healthy, drink lots of water and be hygiene. =D Smile always
Signing off.
